Palestinian armed group launches largest attack on Israel in years, PM Netanyahu says ‘we are at war’ – Images InsideThe Palestinian armed group Hamas has initiated its most substantial attack on Israel in years. This attack included infiltrations into southern regions of Israel, following a barrage of over 2,000 rockets launched from the Gaza Strip. Local media reported that these rockets resulted in the deaths of at least 22 Israelis and left hundreds wounded. “Citizens of Israel, we are at war,” Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video message. Israel’s Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, issued a stern warning to Hamas, emphasising that the group had committed a “grave mistake.” The attack, which commenced at 03:30 GMT on Saturday, featured an onslaught of rocket fire from various locations within Gaza, along with fighters infiltrating the Israeli border by land, sea, and air.
