The Railways Recruitment Board has officially released a notification inviting applications for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (Exe.) and Constables (Exe.) in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). Aspiring candidates can find detailed information about eligibility criteria and other essential details related to the recruitment on the official website at rpf.indianrailways.gov.in.
The ongoing recruitment drive aims to fill 2000 vacancies in the Constable rank and 250 vacancies in the Sub-Inspector rank within RPF/RPSF. Inclusive measures have been incorporated into the recruitment process, with 10% of vacancies reserved for ex-servicemen and 15% for women candidates. The selection process is divided into three phases:
Age Limit
Candidates aspiring for the role of Sub Inspector (Executive) should be within the age range of 20 to 25 years, while those applying for Constable (Executive) should fall between 18 to 25 years. However, candidates from reserved categories are eligible for upper-age relaxation.
Required Qualifications
In terms of educational qualifications, Sub Inspector applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university, while Constable candidates should have passed the 10th standard or its equivalent from a recognized Board. It’s essential to note that only degrees from recognized universities for Sub-Inspectors and matriculation certificates for Constables from recognized Boards will be considered valid.
The Computer Based Test (CBT) will follow different examination standards, with Sub Inspector’s level set at graduation and Constable’s level at matriculation (Class 10th). To qualify for the CBT, candidates must secure a minimum of 35% marks (30% for SC and ST candidates). The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) concerned will finalize the results of the CBT, and subsequent call letters for PET/PMT will be issued by RRB in consultation with the Nodal Officer of RPF. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to review the detailed notification for comprehensive information on the recruitment process and ensure compliance with eligibility criteria before applying.
