Uttar Pradesh: Two arrested for bomb threat to Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, CM Adityanath

Two individuals were arrested by Uttar Pradesh’s Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday in connection with a social media post threatening to blow up Ayodhya’s Ram temple and bomb Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The two accused have been identified as Tahar Singh and Omprakash Mishra. Upon receiving the alert, the STF arrested the duo from Vibhuti Khand area of Gomti Nagar in Lucknow.

According to STF Chief Amitabh Yash, the post was made in November by the Twitter handle ‘@iDevendraOffice,’ targeting CM Adityanath, STF chief Amitabh Yash, and Ayodhya’s Ram temple.

Investigation initially revealed that the threat posts were linked to email IDs ‘[email protected]’ and ‘[email protected].’ Technical analysis subsequently traced the creation of these email accounts to Tahar Singh, while Omprakash Mishra was identified as the sender of the threat messages, according to a police statement.

Both Singh and Mishra are residents of Gonda and are employed at a paramedical institute. Both are currently in custody and the STF is conducting further inquiries into the matter, it added.
