Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Opposition parties-led INDIA bloc saying that that alliance only knows one thing, which is to “hurt one’s faith”.
Speaking at a gathering of women at the ‘Sthree Shakti Modikkoppam’ event in Thrissur, PM Modi said, “INDI alliance only knows one thing, which is to hurt one’s faith. They made our temples and festivals, mediums for loot. The kind of politics that is being played with ‘Thrissur Pooram’ is unfortunate. The kind of mismanagement that has come to light in Sabarimala, devotees are facing a lot of inconvenience. This is the proof of disability of the state government.”
“Today in the country, big roads are being made, modern airports are being built, but the Kerala government which is a part of the INDI alliance doesn’t let any work happen here because they oppose Modi,” PM Modi said.

“The alliance doesn’t want anybody to question them regarding the funds they get from the Centre for the poor and for infrastructural development, so they try to hinder the schemes by the Union government,” he added.
He also lashed out at the Congress and Left parties, alleging that they had delayed the Women’s Reservation Bill, dubbed as ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’, whereas the BJP had ensured the passage of the quota legislation.
“Regrettably, after independence, the Leftist Congress government undermined the strength of our women,” the PM alleged.
“The Congress and other parties delayed the reservation bill in the Lok Sabha. However, the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam has now become law. Modi has fulfilled his commitment,” he said.
Highlighting the achievements of his government, PM Modi said that the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) will defeat the INDIA front in Kerala in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He said that the Central programmes by the Modi-led government include 10 crore Ujwala gas connections, 11 crore pipeline water connections, 12 crore toilets, Rs 1 Suvidha sanitary pads, financial inclusion for one lakh Kerala women as well as girls’ admission to Sainik schools.
He also said he guaranteed freedom from triple talaq for Muslim women and his government brought a law against the Islamic practice to empower women.
As soon as PM Modi arrived to attend a BJP-organised women’s convention at Thrissur, which the BJP has focused on ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he received a warm and enthusiastic welcome on Wednesday.
