Former HR head and executive vice president of Infosys, Richard Lobo, on Wednesday joined Tech Mahindra as its chief people officer. Lobo had resigned from Infosys in August last year.
After putting in his papers, Lobo acted as an independent HR advisor for a few months, before joining Tech Mahindra. Tech Mahindra wrote in a LinkedIn post: “We’re delighted to welcome Richard Lobo as our chief people officer. With over 25 years of experience in HR transformation, employee experience, diversity and inclusion, Richard is set to lead the #HR charter at Tech Mahindra.”
Lobo is a former colleague of Mohit Joshi, CEO of Tech Mahindra and an Infosys veteran, having worked with the IT major for over 22 years. After Joshi took over the reins, Harshvendra Soin, former chief people officer and global marketing head, relocated to Australia to lead a consolidated Asia Pacific and Japan unit. Tech Mahindra also appointd former LTIMindtree CMO (chief marketing officer), Peeyush Dubey as its CMO.
In another restructuring move, Mphasis announced a strategic reallocation of leadership responsibilities to accelerate growth across multiple vectors. The company said in a statement, “Effective immediately, Ashish Devalekar will assume the role of head of europe while Anurag Bhatia, the current head of europe, will lead Mphasis’ Global Business Process Services business (BPS).”
Another mid-tier IT company, Birlasoft, said in a filing with BSE that it has appointed Manjunath Kygonahally as the chief executive officer for Rest of the World (ROW) region and SMP (senior management personnel) of the company, effective January 2, 2024.
