Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the new terminal building of Tiruchirappalli airport. The improved infrastructure promises convenience and comfort for travelers while enhancing the airport experience!The new building of the airport is constructed at a cost of Rs 1112 crores and can handle 44.5 lakh passengers annually by 2032-33!The new terminal building has 60 check-in counters. It also has five baggage claim belts and many amenities for accessibility compliance…a game-changer for connectivity!PM Modi also undertook a walkthrough of the new terminal building. Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia was also present during the inaugural function in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.Here are some photos. Have a look:
