The Ministry of Railways on Wednesday (January 3) again shared a photograph of the Solapur-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express journeying through Bhor Ghat. The introduction of Vande Bharat Express trains marked a transformative era in rail travel, offering passengers a more congenial journey and redefining the experience of traveling in the country.

All about Solapur-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express
Launched on February 11, 2023, the Solapur-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express is the ninth in the country’s fleet of Vande Bharat Express trains. This semi-high-speed rail service has significantly improved connectivity between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Solapur.
Operating in a distinctive blue and white livery, the train shuttles between Mumbai and Solapur. Covering a distance of 455 kilometers in 6 hours and 35 minutes, the 16-coach express achieves an average speed ranging from 69.15 to 70 km/hour.
The journey includes stops at key stations such as Dadar, Kalyan, Pune, and Kurduwadi. The train operates six days a week, excluding Wednesdays from CSMT and Thursdays from Solapur, contributing to a more efficient and accessible rail network in the region.
